Broken Leg + Better Job = Good Times.
Hi.
So, most people who read this probably know I broke my leg on September 8th, while visiting some friends in Oklahoma. I’ve told the story too many times. You’re gonna have to read it over and see the pics yourselves.
Anyway, I’m on the tail-end of my non-weight-bearing crutch-fu. Thank goodness! I can’t wait for the pain that trying to walk again after 3.5 months brings. It’ll suck, but small potatoes compared to what it felt like breaking it and waiting 2 weeks for surgery to happen. So… YAY!
Issue #2… I have retired as a customer support phone jockey. That’s right, retired, after many years of saying the same things over-and-over again to the same people on the phone, it got pretty tiring and crummy… I have moved on to bigger and better things.
Just this week I left my job at IQuest Internet (an ISP). I was offered (after much begging and pleading on my part) a position as Director of Technology at a company called MediumFUSION Creative Group. We’re in the business of doing all kinds of stuff to help make companies look better: from video / audio production, to graphic design, to website development, to whatever, on many different levels. Maybe this will explain more (from the MediumFUSION website):
MediumFUSION creative group is comprised of talented designers, marketers and producers with over 25 years of experience in the advertising/creative arts industry. We take large and small companies to greater heights by enhancing their image, advertisements and marketing vehicles with creativity and market knowledge. We make your advertising and marketing more aggressive, more noticeable and more effective through every medium. We welcome clients who are not afraid.
Again…. YAY! The best part is, I get to work with cool people who are already my friends in a great environment. I’m very excited about this. Oh, and we work on Macs (you didn’t think I’d let a post slide without mentioning something nerdy, would you? Yeah, I still have been drinking the Apple kool-aid. And it’s freaking delicious as ever.)
From one crutch-fu master to another, I’m glad your almost back in action again wickster! A big thumbs up on your new job opportunity as well …
Peace-out …
